Alissa

Alissa Holton | 2014 MC

Alissa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in the Creative Industries and a Master’s Degree in Music Therapy. In 2007, at the age of 23, Alissa co-founded the not for profit organsation “s.p.a.c.e” (a Brisbane based community center) and in 2011 took on a role with the Foundation for Young Australians in the Changemaking Team.

Alissa’s areas of expertise include rapid prototyping, design thinking and facilitation to effect social change. Whilst her areas of special interest include social innovation through co-design and innovation practice and process.

For the past decade Alissa has been motivated by the opportunities and overwhelming belief that people have invested both emotionally and economically in her ideas for change. In return she has found herself investing that same vision for potential in others via her work at The Foundation for Young Australians and ongoing leadership of s.p.a.c.e. She offers the community established skills, networks and energy, as well as a commitment to active collaboration with the aim of seeking innovative solutions to the problems and challenge our society faces daily.
